We are Shoufu-Con, your new pop-culture home at the capitol!
For three days, Shoufu-Con is your fun-filled destination for entertainment, comradery, and showmanship. Hosted at the historic Causeway Bay Hotel & Event Center, we offer a large vendor & artist hall, hundreds of video and arcade games, card and tabletop tournaments, photo booth, cosplay contest, and panels galore!
When we aren’t hosting in person, we also stream online on Twitch.tv (ADD LINK)
So how did we get here?
As with all things, past and present, it started with a group of friends and an idea…
“Since we all enjoy going to conventions, what if we started out own?”
And after a little bit of planning, and a quick trip to our lawyer, we founded our company and began laying the groundwork for our first year, to be held in 2020…
Unfortunately, like other events planned that year, we were postponed due to the pandemic. Instead of calling it quits, we hunkered down and planned out every last detail we could think of.
Then on October 27th, 2023, we finally unveiled Shoufu-Con to the world.
Our Goal:
We want to be the most transparent convention ever. We feel that secrecy and hypocrisy spell the downward spiral of any convention. As such, we wish to provide you with openness and honest in everything we do.
And that’s where you (yes, you!) can help.
We are human and we do have faults, but not listening to our patrons isn’t one of them. We strive to provide an avenue of entertainment for any and all who grace us with their presence, both in-person and online. Our “Con Directors” have varied hobbies and interests, and we hope Shoufu-Con reflects that.
